I am using Arc Soft Showbiz to capture 2 1/2- 3 hours of vhs tape to DVD. The Mpeg file is over 5 GB. Is there a way to get a smaller file size. I don't see any settings in the program to chane the resolution before i record. Any ideas?

Resolution has nothing to do with mpeg file size, you need to change the bitrate.

It has everything to do with size. The only two things that that affect the size of an mpeg is the bitrate (average if VBR) and movie length, nothing else comes into the equation.Originally Posted by secretagent
