    Hi there,
I have recently done a copy of Bourne Identity using Instant Copy as it produces better quality than other programs. I have converted the PDI files to ISO and then burnt this to DVD+RW. I have played this back on 2 DVD players I have, ( Sony 905 & Philips DVDR890) . Both work fine, however I have tried this on friends DVD players ( Toshiba & Philips) and they will not play back. The interesting thing here is these players have played the same movie on the same disk (DVD+RW)when I used DVD Shrink. I also noted there is no AUDIO_TS Folder when using In Copy. Is this important for DVD players? Does anyone have any ideas .

I think I have read that some older players need the AUDIO_TS folder. You need to update IC7 so that it will create an Audio folder if that is the problem.

Have you tried burning the PDI file with InstantCopy... I have found this to be the most compatible.

  4. some player have problem playing DVD-RW (and DVD+RW is even worst !)
The AUDIO_TS can be a trouble too..

Also, try using the software called PDITool. You will be able to extract all the files from the PDI to your hard disk.. you will be able to make an AUDIO_TS folder and also be able to look at your rip BEFORE burning it ! Sometime the rip look horrible and isn't worth burning it.. or sometime it don't even work in PowerDVD (good chance it wont work in your DVD player )

I have also found the newest version of DVD Decrypter burns the PDI files with great success, Version 3.1.6.0, I have had such success with new PDI compatible version I do not even run PDI tool any more on the files. Only time will tell if there are any hidden problems but so far so good about 20 done with out a hitch.

Thanks for the INFo. I upgraded my Instant Copy and now the Audio TS folder is generated and now plays on most DVD players.
