How can find out what the bitrate of my mpg file is ?

I know GSPOt does it for avi's but how about mpeg2 and mpeg files ??

Have you tried avicodec?
or bitrate viewer?
or dvd patcher will give you some info also.

You could open TMPGEnc, select File-->New project. Load your video, and read the bottom line.

Do the following ..
Right click the screen and select SHOW INFORMATION..
the bitrate will show up on a dvd or mpeg 2 file in a moment on the screen

it sounds like that. but i think they mean don't use it. sounds like they're trying to make those people feel guilty.
