  1. Hey guys

Just wondering, what is the maximum working bitrate anyone has used with the Sony NS400D? I recently tried Romeo Must Die encoded at 2,700kb/s video and 192kb/s audio, but every 5 seconds or so the audio sounded a little stuttery, not very big, but enough to be noticable. Anyone have a more exact figure as to where the player starts to struggle?

    Cheers!

hmmmmm, i'd have to say 2350kbps for the video is a good max, if you're encoding audio at 192kbps (keeps total just under 2600kbps). you could always try 2500kbps video and 64kbps audio, if you think the extra 150kbps on the video will make a difference and don't mind the loss in audio.
