I bought the Pinnacle Moviebox DV first because I thought it would give better quality captures. It gives good results when it works but it is extremely touchy. Unless you have a perfect VHS tape it will freeze during capture and you will get a totally pixelated capture from that point on. I thought what the hell I already have Studio 8 installed (came w/moviebox) might as well try Moviebox USB. I am pleasently surprised with the ease and quality of the captures. I captured a 55 min tape with moviebox USB from VCR that Moviebox DV froze on constantly and never did capture completely even after many failed attempts. The picture is perfect, the audio is in sync and I dont even have to encode as it is already to author straight from the capture. Moviebox USB is the hands down winner by a mile. By the way I haven't even installed my USB 2.0 card yet. .............. harrymj3
