Sanyo DVD7201 won't play DVD-R or DVD-RW

Folks...

My Sanyo DVD7201 does not seem to be able to play DVD-R's or DVD-RW's

I have seen posts about the place that seem to indicate this should be possible - indeed some commercial DVD copiers show the 7201 as a compatible player.

I have used Nero,B's recorder,DVDx on Maxell and MaxMax media,
using the standard settings as well as the UDF 1.02 methods, to no avail.

Is there anyone out there who has had success in getting a 7201 to play DVD-R's?

If so, what burner/software/media did you use?

Any help would be cool!
