Dazzle creation station 200 and softwre tht came with it ???

i am backin up some of my vhs movies so i can put on dvd.... the first movie was the transformers and i cap it wit tht software tht came wit it (moviestar) well i cap it in mpeg 2 (suposley) but ulead movie fact says its not comp so i had to use the other softwre tht came wit it (dvd complete) but its giving me a error " build /mux processes failed " what settings do i need to mess with for it to do a comp mpeg2 so i can use my ulead??????????

still need help wit this one... cant use spruce up because it does the same thing as movie factory and cant find movie fact 2 to check to see if it works...... and when i try to update to the new software it gives a error.......

it should work whether if your capture with MPEG2 specifications. There are various birates (quality) to choose from the tab in Moviestar (don't choose DVD mpeg2). Usually medium quality 1min=30megabits (6000MB/s VBR) can record 90mins of movie on a DVD-r. It dosen't matter you are using movie factory 1 or 2.

Razzle often uses a "different" type of muxer. The only way to get things done is to use there editor (movie star 5) to produce the video. Just one more reason to dislike them. Sorry to say this but, it looks like you are another Dazzle victim. Welcome to the club. For some people things work fine, for many others, nothing but problems.

Make sure when you catpure you use 48Khz audio. DVD Movie factory doesn't like anything else for DVD.

Another capture program for Dazzle is TWNH which gives you more control of your capture.

Does TWNH work with the DCS-200? At any rate, it still uses the Razzle muxer, as did Bugsy the last time I tried to use my DVC2. I tried the DCS-200, it went back for a refund. Garbage software didn't stay running long enough for me to give it a good test. And it was pointless to ask support what was wrong. They wouls only respond "You need to use the new software, that was only available on disk." The last disk I got from them arrived in 2 pieces, split right in the middle. I have nothing good to say about Razzle.

If you are very lucky, DVD Movie Factory has been fixed to work with the silly Razzle muxed video. Version 1 did not work with it, even after their special patch was applied.

MHZ, what is TWNH????? also to update the stupid dvd complete i had to do a esd ver and then do a update and it finally updated but now it sill giving the same error message tht it cant mux...... now i see i prob wll have to capture this again so what settings do i need to change (all of em) so i can get this thing up and running.... i have to capt a lot of video tapes......

i tried capturing another movie but had the same problem.... i didnt see no tabs to control how i capture it and the ones i saw wouldnt let me click on them...... one of the movies i did capture when i try to produce it it wouldnt let me...... my thing is y cant dvd complete handle its own movies tht m.s 5 captured????? is there a movie star guide around or can somebody help me with more detail with this.......

Same thing happened with my DVC2. It took 3 weeks to get the first reply from support. And then they asked me if several things were a problem. The bad part is that I had already told them that those things were not a problem. They just didn't bother to read the message I sent to them. To this day, the DVC2 is still worthless to me. It sits in a box. I'd sell it, but do not want to stick some other person with the problems. It would make me feel bad to sell defective goods to anyone. Obviously Razzle has no problem selling things that do not work. I hope they all rot in hell!

I'm afraid you are out of luck! Now you understand why I recommend staying far away from anything related to RAZZLE! Sorry that you had to join the club of Razzle haters! NO ONE should buy ANYTHING that they sell! EVER!!!!!!!!!

but i dont think its the hardware.....ITS THT SHITTY SOFTWARE...... i have to get this to work for the simple reason tht i spent all this money on it and refuse to go get something else..... if i could i wouild switch it out but had it to long and thru the box away the other day tryin to clean out my house..... i just never had much chance to try to use it...... but since there are so many people having this problem i no somebody has some drivers or something for another software to capture from this device..... it gotta be a way for it to work....... !!!!!!!! BECAUSE I REALLY WOULD HATE FOR DAZZLE BUILDING TO BE MISSING TOMORROW OUTTA THE BLUE

You might be able to get some help at http://www.stop.at/dazzle2 . But it is mostly for the DVC2. They might be able to give you a link to another group. I haven't been over there for awhile, since I gave up on my DVC2.

well ......I TRIED THT PLACE and they sent me to the forums of dazzle.... but i did what u said and produce the mpeg in movie star 5 (after i found out how to do it) and hit the rendering button and let it do its thing.... then took it over to dvd complete and added menus and chapters well when i tried it out the movie started out ok then near pass the middle it started badly pixelating..... then at the end for some reason it look like it added in another piece of another movie and cut the ending off of the orginal movie (not first time happening so tht wll be in another post soon) so i am tryin to figure out what happen...... is the pixlation from rendering or capturing??????? the bad thing is dvd complete still wont let me upgrade to the new 2.06 sayin something about a file missing and tht i might need to dl the update again....... I AM GETTING MADDER AND MADDER

I am by no means an expert, as I am starting out with all of this. BUT, Vegas Video 3.0 has a demo available.

The capture software within it is great compared to anything I have tried so far. The demo does not let you save any video projects, but I was able to use the capture feature all day long…. VERY cool capture software. If you have a high-speed connection, check it out. Otherwise, 27 megs might take awhile (but still might be worth it if it will solve your problem)

Not EVERY cap card. I have a WINTV PVR, and that card is works fine.

Firewire capture for sure. I was reading this thread because I am interested in an analog to DV device myself for future use. I don’t think that the capture device itself would affect things, as it is a line in to the firewire card. But I am not an expert.

I would do a Forum Search on this site for Vegas Video and speak with VV experts either via the Forum or Email. My point is that the capture software in VV is awesome IMO when compared to anything I have tried thus far. In VV you can also preview the captured .avi immediately right from within VV. Hope this helps.

ok... dl it and put on my xp pro laptop.... it wont bring up cap express (inside vegas video) it just keeps bombing out on me...... does vegas video render????? maybe i can cap a movie and just do a rending in it

OK.... i dl vegas video, found a pw for it to make it full ver and when i tried pulling up the mpeg2 video i cap it says i needed a plugin filter just to bring tht mpeg up in vv..... WHAT KINDA RIP OFF SHIT IS THT..... i even dl the little free plug in pack they had but it wasnt what it was lookin for.... i have looked everywhere for this plugin and cant find it..... CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP.....??????!?!?!?!?!?!??!

I use Dazzle DVC200 and the MovieStar prog. After capture you should go straight to the Produce tab (unless you need to clip something out.) Drag the capture video (from the upper right corner) into the timeline stream at the bottom and click Render. It takes a while but the finished file will be compatable with any authoring prog you use. I suggest you make sure you have all the updates for MovieStar first and DO NOT USE THE PC DURING RENDERING!!
The only side-effect I've seen from rendering in Moviestar are intermittent 'blocking' due to lack of processing power (just a guess there.)
