    Does anyone has a dvd+rw pc burner out there?
    Have you ever attempted to backup a dvd movie you have at home?Does the dvd+rw palys back ok in the stand alone dvd player or in your dvd-rom?
    Could apreciate some reply´s on this becuse i´m thinking on buying the new HPdvd100i and thinking if it can manages the job of backing up my current dvd movies in one single dvd or if i have to stick with xvcd or svcd for now...

    DVD+RW does only support single layers(4.7GB) DVDs and today are many DVD Movies on dual layers DVDs(9.4GB) so to be able to fit the movie on one DVD you either have to cut something out, reencode the movie(some quality loss) or use 2 dvd+rws.

    Baldrick, philips has dual sided dvd+rw media so that isn´t a real problem right now, but thanks for the reply anyway, and if anyone has the hp dvd100i please let me knouw how it works for you.

    They said that it would be out 1st week of

    Those sacks of shit lyed about the release date. NObody has one. This lets Pioneer to continue its head start in the market. DO YOU guys thing they'll ever release dual layered dvd+R? Screw this double sided BS. Dual layer or singleh, non of this flipping.

    About the HP dvd+rw 100i i´ve been with one in my hands in Portugal.The HP site refers to theirs ebusiness stores as available in 5 days to deliver.

    What is the difference in DVD-Rs 'General Write' and 'Authoring Use'? Both can be used in a stand alone player?
