  1. Hopefully someone can give me a shove in the right direction on my problem.

I am trying to move my Hauppauge card from the included vfw drivers to the generic btwincap drivers under Win XP. Video looks great, no frame drops. But i can't get the audio to work at all. Everything is working fine with the vfw drivers, but when I change to the btwincap ones, the audio stops working.

A device is showing up calling itself Conexant's BtPCI WDM Audio Capture in the Device Manager, but wehn I look at the properties it says that there is no driver installed. I haven't been able to find any information on this at the website for the drivers, except that they are supposed to automatically detect the Hauppauge cards.

I know this card has more issues than some of the other Hauppauge cards, but I'm not ready to change out to a different card yet, so please don't suggest that.

Has anyone been abel toget this configuration to work and if so, how?

Any help would be appreciated. I am going to be trying to contact the author of the drivers as well, but I thought I would ask here first in case this has already been solved.

  2. I am using the Hauppauge Win TV PCI card under XP with the Hauppauge drivers. I had terrible problems with sound (captured but crackly) when I had a VIA based (ASUS) MB. I then replaced the MB with a Asrock (SIS based) MB Athlon XP 2400+ and now with the Hauppauge drivers, CMedia sound on the MB I capture fine, both from the tuner and from the s-video input. I used to use the generic drivers but now the Hauppauge ones are fine.
