Hi everyone. I have an old compaq lte5000 p/75 laptop that has been collecting dust for some time now. I was messing around on ebay and found a tv/mpeg adaptor for it for $15. The thing was made specificly for this model laptop. Basicly its just a hardware mpeg1 decoder with vivo capabilities and is also supposed to capture video (lol). I grabbed it because it would make my old outdated laptop worth something again since i could watch vcds and also have a portable tv with a/v+svideo ins and outs. There is little documentation on this unit however and it is a real bitch to get working. It is supposably plug and prey but windows isnt detecting anything. There are 0 windows drivers to be found for this unit on compaq's site. All that was listed was auravision software (the vivo player software that comes with it) which I d/ld and installed and it installs some dos drivers that say the device is initalized and detected before booting into windows, but when i try to run it pops up an error that says its unable to find a video device. Im at my ropes end trying to get this thing to work. If anyone has had any experience with this device please help me. Ive tryed almost everything. This is the device here:

My laptops specs:
P/75, 24megs mem, 1.5gig hd, win95c, latest bios, video drivers from compaq.

If this is off topic for this group please forgive me, I didnt know where else to post it. Thanks
