Hi, please explain the difference in TMPGEnc between Full Screen (Keep Aspect Ratio) and Full Screen (Keep Aspect Ratio 2). I can’t seem to find an explanation after quite a bit of searching. The tooltip in TMPGEnc doesn’t make since to me.

    Thanks,

    Howard

Hi everyone. It seems like nobody here really understands how to use these two settings. I emailed Pegasys and asked them what each should be used for. This is what I got back in email. Hope it clears things up for everyone.

"It will only make a difference when you have clipped your movie. Then Full Screen (Keep Aspect Ratio) will exclude the parts that have been clipped, and Full Screen (Keep Aspect Ratio 2) will include the parts that have been clipped (which will result in black bars instead of the clipped parts)."
I got the email response within 30 mins of sending the question. So, if you are debating registering TMPGEnc when your trial runs out, I would say it is worth it since it is a great product and the support seems good too. =)

    Thanks,

    Howard
