I own a Hitachi DVP415U and it works great for commercial DVDs and the SVCDs I have made. I just got a Sony DVD writer and used ULead DVD Workshop to make a DVD-R. The video was prep'ed with TMPGE before hand. The DVD-R has 6 menu selections (basically 6 short videos) and the thing plays great on the PC. It also plays on the Hitachi but the actual videos hang and skip on a regular basis. The menu function however works great. I then read the forums on here and have tried NERO and others but the Workshop has produced the best (about 80%) results yet. I am game to try anything to get a playable DVD for my Hitachi. If you have any suggestions or better ideas on how to do a good DVD-R that is dependable please write or post. Thanks
