Can´t play DIVx in Compaq Armada 4160T Notebook

2 gb hd, pentium166 mhz processor, 32 mb memory. win 95 with directx 8.0

I can play the divx, but they stop 1 sec each 10 secs. I know that is not the best configuration to play divx, but I wonder if there is something to be done besides updating the notebook.

I only say this, cause at the compaq support they told that it does work, but they won´t tell me, once my machine is out of warranty.

So I wonder how could I do it??? Any filters or softwares that would enhace this playing? Something like this?
