  1. I have been trying to convert old family vhs tapes to dvd. I captured them to my PC by using my digital camcorder a/d pass through. I have analyzed the AVIs with gspot and also played them on the pc. They play fine. When I try to author/burn a DVD with NeroVision Express, the video makes it onto the DVD and plays just fine. But the audio is missing. I have tried it numerous times and can't get it to work. What confuses me is that ONE time, I captured some footage from my DV camcorder which was recorded in DV. That one did not lose the audio once burned to a DVD. Can someone enlighten me about what's going wrong?
    Thanks!

You are letting Nero encode your video before burning. You got lucky once, apparently, but now it seems Nero is up to its old tricks. Anyway, let Nero do what it is best at: Burning. Use another encoder before you let Nero burn, and you should be okay.
    Hello.

  3. Several months ago there was a verson of Nero Vision Express that
had a bug in it that tagged the audio as the wrong type. It would
play on a computer but not on a standalone player.

I suggest that you upgrade to a different version, as I experienced
this same problem and the upgrade fixed it. If you do a search on
these forums, you will run across this topic somewhere.
