I have encoded recently a few scvds that i have been happy with, last night i tried to encode a divx file to svcd and for some reason no sound came out, the original stream did have sound and the system(video + audio) box was selected, the original divx plays fine and other files of the same format encode fine but there is something about this file which it doesnt like, i even tried cutting a 10second sample with vdub and encoding that but still no sound, the cut file has sound but after compression, its gone.
Also i am getting a strange frame amount, like 339000 for 1.5 hours of video, the video encoded up to the credits and it was only at 36% and there is nothing afrter the credits. This is when PAL 25 fps is chosen.
I tried getting the latest version but to no avail, same thing. Is it the files that is screwed becuase it is a very nice DVD rip that i would like to watch on my DVD player.
Plz help me !!!!

strip the audio in virtualdub "load the avi then click file then save wav" or something like that. then when you load the avi replace the audio it uses from the avi with the wav you saved. it might help.
