I have a bunch of VCDs that were authored using the VCD header trick. I used these with the Panasonic RV32 and they worked great. However I find the panasonic to be real finicky on CDRs.. Now I would like to convert them to SVCD and use another DVD player. I did some searching and can't find any guides. They don't need to be standard SVCDs, XSVCDs are OK. Can someone point me in the right direction?
    Thanks,
    Tim

Let me get this straight: You want to convert to MPEG-2 for SVCD. This is just a hunch, but why not go to the Convert section and look for the heading Convert to MPEG2 SVCD?

Here's a guide for extracting the mpeg from the VCD: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=141726&highlight=rip+vcd

Only thing I don't know is if you then need to undo the header trick by multiplexing the new mpeg to mpeg2, essentially running the trick in reverse. You can ask the author of the guide, he's fairly well known around here!
