Which is which?
I have read many things that basically labels all of these as MPEG4 compatible / variants. Whats the true story, can I for instance play an MP4 on a DivX player, or an XVid on a DivX player, or not?
Which ones are freeware / open source and which are proprietary?
Also, what's peoples opinion on which is the best?
