  5. Can you post the settings you used? or the .ini file, or something, so we can see how you did it?

How long did this take? I can backup a DVD in less than an hour, from start to final burn. But yeah, CD are cheaper than DVD, and I'd also prefer CD when the content/quality didn't matter much.

  7. get EasyVCD
Rip the file with the VCD Highest quality setting
Ouput to a single mpg file, no mulitiple file
Load tmpgenc select VCD NTSC Film
    Non-interlace, 43525 line NTSC
Use Source Range -- Here is where you have to play with the start frame and end frame cut out the parts you dont need. You can watch the space needed to fit on the cd on the Bit Rate setting screen. If it's too much to fit on the cdr, then go back to source range and chop off a little more until you have it fit. Use the time indicator, not the file size. Set your % to about 99% and use the 800min CDR option. On my system with an Athlon 2000+ (1.6gig) takes about maybe an 1 1/2 hour or a little more for ripping and convert. Not all DVD will fit because some are longer than others. I tried with XXX but it's 2 hours long while Friday After Next is only an hour and a half. As well as quality goes, I can tell you it's really nice and your friends won't complain a bit

    Good luck!!!
