divX 2 dvd ... dvd player wont play dvd

okay i followed the guides that are divx to dvd... and encoded using TMPGenc... and i author using spruceup creatin g the video_ts folder... now i got all my vob and ifo files... now i moved the whole folder to nero to burn and i burn the vidoe_ts folder fine... and then when i try it in advd player i get no disc.. can anyone help me please

try using another burning program other than nero,ive heard of lots of compatability issues between it and some dvd players. use a program such as instant dvd, or any which use udf 1.02 as standard

1. did you create a AUDIO_TS folder to burn with the VIDEO_TS folder?

2. did you use UDF/ISO mode in Nero to burn, which typically creates standalone compatible disc.

yes i ddi create video_ts and audio_ts folders im a try and use a different burning program ill get back to u all

okay... i tried using primo and instant copy... and they burned fine after extracted but dstill no luck in the movie playing.. dvcd playter says no disc please help

Have you tried to play any vob files from your hard drive and see if it plays at all? If it does then we can narrow it down to burning method. Have you tried Nero using UDF/ISO mode and did it play? What kind of disc are you using? I hope you tried on RW first. Give us more info so we can further assist you.

Have you tried using other softwares to author instead Spruceup? I find Ulead DVD MovieFactory works pretty good. Sometimes it's the authoring that players don't like and show no disc. I had similar situation before and I just use DVD2ONE to recompress the VIDEO_TS folder and recreate it again and it'll play fine. Try that and you'll know whether it was authoring and/or burning problems.

i authored using ulead and burned using old version of nero in udf/iso mode it worked thanks everyone for your help
