I want to know is there a program, or some kinda of Hardware device that will alow me to watch DVD's in prgressive scan on my computer.
I think it should be standard for DVD programs to play things in progressive scan because the computer monitor is far better then almost any TV.

I would think so, but how come it doesn't look as good as it does on on a normal TV

Well, for one thing you are probably sitting alot closer to your monitor than you sit while watching your tv. Also the monitor is such a higher quality scan device that, even though the image quality is higher, artifacts are going to be noticable.
