Yes, use Virtual Dub to frameserve to TMPGEnc.

  3. ... or maybe you don't want to reencode. Try opening the vob in Smartripper and enable stream processing. Then select the stream for your video and check the box that says something like demux to separate file. Then select your audio stream and set it to demux as well. That should give you an m2v and an ac3 without reencoding.

Apologies if I'm a little vague, I'm relying on my memory. That's the jist of it.

    Forget all that nonsense.

    1. Use DVD DECRYPTER to get the files to your HD. Rip each piece in IFO mode and grab the individual pieces if the disc has more than one movie/episode.

    2. Use VOBedit or VOBrator to perfectly extract the MPEG2 and audio. This does NOT re-encode.

    3. Done.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.

  5. yeah right....so much easier. You can be rude txpharoah.
What I've suggested is one way to do it, not the only way.

tonyzz, use whatever software you are most familiar with.

    gonzalimator is right,
USE SMARTRIPPER unless the file is still on a DVD,

but, If like you posted, THE VOB is on your hARD DRIVE
-or its one you created youself,
you'll hav'ta use SMARTRIPPER as DECRYPTER will not see the file- less its on a DISC in your DVD drive!

mysticgohan17, that won't recombine all of the individual VOB's into one MPEG.

Both options are good. VOEdit is a good choice if you already have the VOB's on your hard drive (I don't think VOBrator has an option to join VOB's into one stream though). I agree with gonzalimator though, that was rude txpharoah.

tonyzz, why do you want to recombine them? You may find that it's not necessary, depending on what your trying to do.
Impossible to see the future is. The Dark Side clouds everything...
