  1. Extremely impressed with the latest version of dvd2one 1.1.3 - so much so I compress 2 movies to one one dvdr now and the quality is fantastic even on my 30"

Does anyone know if DVDShrink2 can beat it in terms of quality?

  2. 7sinz, if you can compress two movies on one dvd-r, and find the quality fantastic, you should stick with DVD2One.
You might still want to give DVD Shrink a try, you never know.

Words that I normally live by. Too many times you will see people upgrading things that they really don't need updating and then running into problems. They just do it because it's new and figure it will automatically be better than the old. But if you are happy with what you have........don't fix it.

DVD Shrink's video quality is far better then version 1.03. You might notice that encode time has doubled, from 25 to 50 minutes on my XP1600 system. As to whether it's better than DVD2ONE????????????????????????
Your DVD player and viewing screen will make for visible differences,go with what ever your eyes tell you.

That's the big problem... DVD2One is really broked!!!

Imagine a program (transcoder) that is extremely fast, but you don't have control over what you are encoding. So, in the majority of the encodings (reducing from 7 to 4.37 GB) everything is transcoded EVENLY, so you can not get better quality for the MAIN FEATURE.
So, sadly you will get better results using DVD Shrink, DVD95Copy, or Instant Copy...
