  1. Ever since I first installed the PVR-250, my MPEG-2 files haven't been playing back in WMP. There's no video, no sound, or anything. The files play back fine in WinTV2K, but that's all. I have drivers 1.17.390.22019 (01/19/2004) installed. Anyone have any suggestions?

  2. I've tried that already. Uninstalled, installed, still doesn't work.

I'd say the major problem with WMP is that it's so damn difficult to get rid of! IMHO, it's not the best player for any format, with the possible exception of MS own formats, yet everyone seems determined to use it for anything that has to do with audio/video...

It's the *fastest* loading player on the market. I use it to figure out which video clips are what because it launches in 1/4 the time of any other player out there...except maybe the Media Player Classic.

Which reminds me, to the original poster, get a copy of Media Player Classic and see if that will play your MPEGs.
