Verbatim dvd+r freeze problems

so far on two different movies that I copied on these verbatim dvd+r somehow it plays fine in the beggining but then near the middle of the movie or randomly it would freeze then start then freeze then start again then freeze then start again. Now if I burn the same movie using anohther dvd+rw then it plays smoothly. I just want to ask for you guys opinions on what could be the problem? The media? Anyone have these dvd+r and got smooth movies with them?

Take a very close and good look at the disc for voids, bubbles, or discoloration of the dye. I bought three five packs at BestBuy and all fifteen disc had those types of problems near the outer edge of the disc.
