    I have a version 1 (serial# U1216166, and date code 0D)
    I have Cendyne dual format drive
    I have purchased Verbatim media dvd-r
    Will this hopefully work with dvd xcopy to back up my current movies on DVD and play on my PS2.

    If you are asking if films backed up with dvdxcopy will play on the PS2 the answer for me is yes. Every backup i have made works using Ritek 4x dvd-r discs and also verbatum x1 dvd-r discs.
