  1. I have read the various guides and forums on this but still cannot get tmpgenc to accept the vdr file.Tried renaming file xxx.vdr.avi/xxx.avi.vdr nothing.Copied file msvcr70.dll to sysems32 dir, nothing.Tried aviproxy on/off,nothing.Avi handler is installed.Vfapi settings in Tmpgenc has directshow with a priority of 2.What am I doing wrong??Open file in virtualdub make my changes resizing, framerate.Start frameserving, hit start, name file. Then I try to open the new vdr file in tmpgenc get the error unsupported.Settings in virualdub no audio,video- resizing, framerate conversion,no compression.Tried virualdub 1.5,1.4mpeg,1.4c ac3,1.45.Any suggestions would love to learn how to use this option would save alot of time and space instead of making another avi file.Thx for any help and / or guidance.

in tmpgenc, make the AVI2(opendml) vfapi plugin on the top of the priority list. If this doesn't work, try looking for a vfapi plugin called readavs.dll (on google.com). Its designed for reading avisynth scripts and virtualdub frameserver signpost files.

edit: here's a link for the readavs.dll plugin.. be sure to change the .reg file to reflect where you place this dll

Don't forget to name your new file in virtualdub to xxx.vdr then open in tmpgenc
