    Ive got these mpegs recorded from a digital tv card, so theyre proper mpeg2s (752x576 resolution, audio is 48000), and when I try to load them in TMPGEnc DVD Author it says

    "Could not initalise decoder"

    Any ideas?

    752*576 is not a proper mpeg 2 the one i think your trying to get is 720*576

    Yes - I got both PowerDVD and WinDVD installed.

    (PowerDVD is class I just prefere the WinDVD mpeg2 decoder)
