  1. Of course 352x480 but what about other things things. I am especially interested in audio. Can you use AC3? I've been using 48K MP2. Will MP3 work? What about your bitrates? Thanks...

my dvd player can play 8000 kb/s with no problem. i usually use 2000-3000 as an average. audio is 48 mp2. never tried ac3 but doubt it or mp3 would work.

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

I do 'em just like any SVCD, but with CVD resolution. Never tried neither AC3 nor MP3 audio, but at a given bit rate - will it make much difference?

Yeah, speaking of which. How many people ccan actually tell the difference between audio at 44.1K @ 224kbps and audio at say 44.1K and 192kbps? Or for that matter MP3 or AC3 at a given acceptable bitrate.

Can't say I do - at least not much. 128 kbps starts to be distinguishable from 224 even to my old ears tho...

  6. With MPEG layer 2 audio it is quite noticable - listen out for sibilence on voices or "clanging" effects on some types of music. For MP2 I wouldn't go below 192k and would recommend going up to 256 or 320k.
