FFMPEGX Under Tools, there is a muxing option
quicktime will work. It will mux files. And, I could be wrong since I have not done this ever, I believe Quicktime has divx export?!?! Correct me if im wrong but isnt the Gershwin or DiVX codex thats out now got a quicktime divx export?
check www.divx.com for more details.
hope that heps ya -
Its already a Divx File, why would I have to reencode it?

Not sure what you mean Reencode? The tools option and the muxing is not a encoding portion of FFMPEGX. You are goign to select your VIDEO FILE (may have to rename to .mov for this purpose) then select your AUDIO FILE, and choose the MUXING type and press GO not ENCODEOriginally Posted by qshartle

i kno, im not retarded. Quickime, why would i have to reencode it with the divx encoder?
ffmpeg doesnt work directly with an avi. ill rename it and try.

Can you supply your source for this tool. I checked both versiontracker and macupdate for it and they dont have it.

I did it using ffmpeg and its passthrough option for video and "add audio". Worked without problems as well.

Interesting, Ive had no problems with the muxed .avi's from ffmpegx playing on a pc. I would think that if they work on PC they shoudl work with the Archos jukebox Multimedia.
Oh well.
The point is, you found out exactly what you need to do! -
yup yup
