I have recently been trying out different types of encoding for TPGenc. I don;t even touch CBR for vcd and usually use 2-Pass VBR as it has bst quality and file-size predictability in my opinion. I have tried MVBR, CQ-VBR, CQ so as to reduce the time. Can anyyone give ma an idea how to teak the settings to get maximum quality and predicatble file size? The KVCD file prediction method is too crazy for me so I won't even bother with that.

Kwag has a program that will give you the settings for CQ in TMPGEnc. It's called TOK (To Kvcd). ToK: http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=36&sid=ace480785103fc37e563c872e4adf0e6
