  1. I bought the Pinnacle Studio 8 and it came with a capture card. I have some old KISS concerts I am trying to transfer from VHS to DVD. The tapes I am working on are old black n white with your regular vhs glitches throughout the tape. Well there one show that Ive been working on and at the same point in every rip I have tried the picture stutters and it gives me sort of a slow motion effect. But that only happens in certain parts of it. And theres also one that Ive tried and it won't even play in the preview screen correctly it pretty much pauses and gets stuck on one scene but the sound is still playing. Is this normal? The program Im using is Pinnacle 8 and using the high quality template. Should I try a different method of capturing? Thanks

Does this happen when you use any of the other settings, like Good, or Better? Or only when you use the Best setting? what resolution are you capturing for? DVD, SVCD, or VCD? Are you capturing directly to mpeg, or .avi?

  3. Just a quick note - I just checked and I get the same problem with ULEAD Video Studio and Video Factory. Might be some sort of copy protection maybe?

It does it on all settings and I've tried both VCD and DVD.

But it looks OK on your TV when you're just watching the tape? This only happens when you are capturing? And you've reviewed the file after you've captured, and it still does this? I've found that when I'm playing a large (45GB with 720x480 resolution) .avi file it stutters, and the sound goes out of sync, but after I convert it to VCD/SVCD/DVD it's fine. If you've tried all this, then you've got me stumped...
