  1. What's the deal with the newest versions of TMPGEnc? I get an error at 99% at least hlaf of the time with versions 12i and 12j. I had to go back to using 12f and 12a just to finish my movies. This problem has happened on 3 different machines with different hardware.
After searching thru past posts, it seems that other people are having the problem but nobody responds. So if you are having the same problem, add to this post and maybe someone will get an idea what's happening.

    I use
    AMD 350mhz
    196mb RAM
    Windows ME

    PII 333mhz
    128mb RAM
    Windows 98SE

    also
    AMD 800mhz Duron
    256mb RAM
    Windows ME

Once I received this error message:
Write error occured at address 004028A9 of module 'TMPGENC.EXE' with 00880190
Usually, it just shuts down or gives an unknown error.

I'm prepared to pay for a retail version of TMPGEnc but not if new versions will have bugs like this.
How about it. What's your problem?

  2. I got the same problem w/12i so I deleted it and went back to 12a now I get it again but it might be a different address never the same everytime. Mine don't do it at 99% it just picks a time. I've had it do it at 7%, 24%, 70% & 97% I finally said to hell with it & don't use it unless I have to been using Ligos LSX-MPEG 3.0 you need to get a crack for it though demo only good for 30 or 60 seconds.

  3. strange you should say this

I get it also - but only with DivX conversions

I've been giving up on TMPGEnc for some stuff and going with the less flexible but more reliable Panasonic
