    Hi !

From reading a lot of posts, people generally go for Ritek branded or unbranded media as it is the best in terms of quality and price. I also use Ritek G03 unbranded at 0.88p here in the UK. I think they are brilliant.

I recently found a website in the UK selling pioneer unbranded DVD-R for 0.82p. I have never read in these forums anyone using these discs. Has anyone used these discs. How did they turn out when playing in standalones. How about data. What quality should i expect.

    Thanks in advance!

  3. Damn thats pretty cheap. Well I think there are two possibilities:
    1) The company is liquidating it because they want to make room for new discs
    2) A new breed of fake discs have shown up.

    I think he meant 82p, not 0.82p.

At 0.82p, I could get over 121 disks for £1.00, 609 disks for a fiver. Not a chance!

82p is a good price for DVD-R's though.

    Hi!

Thanks for the reply everyone. I ordered the 82p discs from

    www.121cdr.co.uk

Sorry for the mistake of 0.82p, they are actually 88 pence or £0.88. 121cdr have run out of these discs but they assured me by e-mail they will have some back in stock shortly. Just keep checking the site. The pioneer unbranded generation one are available from the following site and these are stated as 82p or £0.82 if I want to write in that funny format:

    http://www.riverproaudio.co.uk/acatalog/copy_of_copy_of_RIVER_DVDR_Media.html

If anyone in the UK knows about the reputation of this company or any suggestion, kindly let me know.

I can't think they would have too many more to stock in. As was noted before Pioneer stopped making media. They just make drives now, so either these are backstock they are clearing for cheap OR knockoff disk using Pioneer abandoned media code.
