I'm wanting to convert to VCD and view on a standalone DVD player.
To create the extra frames, I could:
1. just duplicate every frame.
or
2. take the top field from one frame, and the bottom field from the next, and make a frame out of it that goes in between.
or
3. do the same as 2, but then blend the fields.
Which will give me the smoothest looking result? And if I just dropped it into TMPGEnc, which method would it choose? I was planning to do the frame addition in AVISynth, but TMPGEnc is easier if it will give a comparable result.
