I just got an archos jukebox multimedia. And have been trying to make a compatibly divx for it. so far ive gotten either the audio or video will play, but non at the same time. I have tried using ffmpegx, but when i use its mp3 audio, it plays messed up on it. anyone have a fix for this? i am wondering if there is a way to multiplex an avi files video, with a pre recorded mp3.

iTunes is free isn't it? That should give you an mp3 encoder. If not, I see you are running OSX. Since that is simply freeBSD, you should be able to find a whole host of mp3 utilities that you could port to X. Check the gnuDarwin web site for sources and a porting engine. After that I can't really help, I'm one of those stupid winderz users
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

i tunes will do mp3 encoding, just make sure you set the specs you want in the preferences.

there are others, suggest visiting http://www.versiontracker.com/mp/new_search.m?productDB=MacOSX&mode=Quick&OS_Filter=ma...ch=mp3+encoder

you can see the options avaliable.

    enjoy
