    Haya!!!

I want to make (for test purposes) a Dolby Digital 5.1 AC3 file.
I want to make this so I can adjust my external decoder with the best settings!!!
So playing sound (or whitenoise) thru al of the speakers and playing speech thru individual speakers (e.g. Left, Center, Right, Leftsurround, Rightsurround and sub).
So I need a program that can convert 6 wav files to one AC3 file...
Is there a proggy that can do that for me???

p.s. Searched Doom9 and this forum, but couldn't find any usefull tips...

BeSweet can encode WAVE files. See the Tools section at left.

    Yeah, right!?!

I tried it with with BeSweet but it ONLY encodes stereo wav to 2.1DD!!!

I Need a program that can encode 6 wav files (Left, Center, Right, Leftsurround, Rightsurround and Sub) to AC3!!! So BeSweet is not an option!!!

  4. Yes it's possible.
Check the site from Sonic Foundry.
However, this is only a plug-in for their products, so you still need to have for example Acid Pro or Vegas (or another product which support this plugin).

  5. Haggard,
    BeSweet can encode 5.0 AC3.

Create a new file in notepad, and name it list.mux.
Then in the file, list the paths to each of your wave files:

    C:\BeSweet\test_FL
    C:\BeSweet\test_FR
    C:\BeSweet\test_C
    C:\BeSweet\test_Ls
    C:\BeSweet\test_Rs
    C:\BeSweet\test_LFE

Then feed it as input to BeSweet 1.5b through the cli.
From my tests, it doesn't encode the LFE channel, and I don't think
it encodes each wave into the proper channel, but at least it's free!
