I'm really getting frustrated with this, and hoping someone out there cane help with this issue. I finally have a setup to convert my old vcr tapes to my PC via digital/analog passthrough on my camcorder.
I've tried numerous apps for capture, M$ Movie Maker, Video Studio 6 and 7, and finally today Scenanaylzer, which appears to be best.
However, after encoding the .avi file into a dvd compliant mpeg2 file, the video comes out pretty decent (no pixelation),. but the jerkiness is just horribl;e. I"ve followed guides here, i've followed guides on Doom9, and still have no IDEA why this is happening and how to fix? Any help would nbe greatly apprecaited. Ive played back the mpeg2 via a dvd-r on my dvd player and also on my "modded" xbox via the media player.
Thanks.

Couple of things you may want to look at: Media. Have you tried different brands? Field Order: Try B field first, then A field. Let us know what happens.
