hang ups

having trouble with dvd freezing/ hanging up in the last ~10 of dvd. I'm capturing all the dvd.

This happens in 1 out of 3 dvd's in both +R and -R formats. I have used several different brands of dvd's and burning software but it didn't seem to make a differece.

Smart ripper>dvd2one>recordnowmax at 2X's. Sony external: 500ulx.

Any suggestions?

I have the same problem as you descripe. I have a philips 228 burner. I use the same software as you. I use a dvd+RW to burn dvd's for testing. If i select a vob file on my pc this part of the movie plays ok. But if i burned the movie (with record now max) the movie freezes at the end. On my standalone (pioneer-444) and also on my pc.

I change the max. MB in dvd2one to 4100mb. I tried full movie and only movie. But i still keep the problem. I don't think it's the brand of the dvd, because Cmonteith (see above) used 3 different brands and i use philips.

Is it the combination of dvd2one and record now max.
