ok, here is what I have done so far....
I copied a mpeg1 file from my replaytv to my computer, I then opened mpeg-vcr and cleaned up the video and re-encoded the file. I then went into ulead videostudio and changed and re-encoded the file to mpeg2 (I think) this took a long time and if there is something out there that is faster please advise).
Then I realized that the file was too large, 1.6gig, so I went back into mpeg-vcr and split the file into 3 smaller sizes....Went into neroburn and tried to burn as a vcd.....when I dragged the file into the neroburn window to burn, I get the an error message stating that this is not a valid file for creating a standar video cd and the message giving me three options: 1. turn off standard compliance and continue, 2. re-encode the video file, and 3. cancel....
when I do #1, it copies but I don't have ff or rw ability when I watch it on dvd player, when I try #2 it just hangs.....
am I doing something wrong?? please advise if there is an easier way to do this or different tools to use keeping in mind I am very new to this...thanks
