Can anybody help.Ive downloaded a file that is a bina and cue file.I know i can burn them straight to disk but when ive done this in the past and watched them on my stand alone dvd ive been left with a big black border on the top and bottom.Ive tried opening the file with tmpgenc but cannot is there another way?

The big black border is called letterboxing and it allows you to watch the widescreen movie on your 4:3 DAR TV. If you trying doing any resizing, you are going to lose significant parts of the movie as you won't be able to do your own pan and scan conversion.

Is there no way of keeping the aspect ratio and loose the big borders then?.I havent got a widescreen tv i have a rear projectopn tv and the borders spoil the film

Again, if you crop the image, you are going to end up loosing important stuff on the edges. In any case, you can't edit an MPEG file without re-encoding it and that will lead to even further loss of quality.
