yeah, me, too...on a couple of movies. which one did you get them on?
i just re-did those movies (movie-only) at 4.3GB and Toast liked it much better. most other movies are fine, tho. -
Spiderman
Now im also getting something wierd!!
The Drive Reported An Error
Sense Key - MEDIUM ERROR
Sense Code = 0x0C
Write Error
Never gotten that before!!!
Any Ideas -
Not all DVD-R media is the same size.
The default for DVD2oneX is 4472 MB. This can often tend to be slightly larger than some media can hold.
ReneB, a DVD2one forum moderator, suggests using the "user definable" option and setting the filesize to 4444 MB.
It worked for me. No noticable difference really.
Cheers. -

I figured as much. Just opened a new pack of dvd-r's i got from supermediastore. None of them seem to be working!
Writes fine to my DVD PRO dvd-rw disks! (which are less expensive than the imation dvd-rs i got that dont work!!)
HA looks like these are going back!
thanks everyone!
I tried the 4444mb user defined size, works great! -

I figured that they would be even better!!!
Yet not a one seems to work so far! I dont want to keep trying them because then ill have nothing left to return
DVD PRO disks were the first brand i ever tried, they worked great! and were cheap! $37 for 25. Never had any problems.
there was a net deal on these disks which made them around $50 for 25 so I said why not and the brand is more well known.
Strange they dont work!
It could also be a compatibility issue, though they say works in all types of dvd-rw drives!
oh well -
I recently bought 3 spindles of Verbatim Data Life Plus. $30 for 15 disks. Best media at the best price around here.
-
And where might I ask did you get these from?!?
-
Galactica,
Those aren't the Maxell DVD-R's (possibly Apple brand) you were telling me about from Meritline are they??? The ones that aren't working well I mean...??

Hello
When DVD2ONE I have always used a size of 4350MB due to a recommendation of other user and I have yet to have any problems in-so-far as size (not fitting on a DVD-R) or in terms of playback. It is not a good idea with MOST DVD-R media (and this goes for DVD+R as well) to get TOO close to the capacity of the disc.

Hello
BEST BUY also carries the cake pack 15 count Verbitm 2x DVD-R discs for the price of $30.00
The trick is trying to find them since they tend to be out-of-stock more often that not.

I'd suggest going with Princo white-top DVD-R media. They cost about 80¢/piece in 100-packs at the moment, and have been the most compatible I've tried (and I've tried a LOT) with set-top DVD players. They burn at 2x on drives that support it (anything besides the original Pioneer A03), and I've been extremely happy with them. The best places to find them are http://www.qtccdr.com, http://www.allmediaoutlet.com and http://www.yesbuy.net. I've had zero problems with defective media, and all DVD players I've tried play them flawlessly, unlike other cheap DVD-R media I've tried. But yeah, the user rate setting (usually at about 4430 MB) solves all oversized VIDEO_TS output problems from DVD2One.
I like systems, their application excepted. (George Sand, translated from French), "J'aime beaucoup les systèmes, le cas d'application excepté." -
