  1. You can see my earlier topic here:

I was a real newbie then, lol.
Now after wasting a few DVD-Rs.....

I finally did something right, used TMPGEnc to convert my AVIs from my minidv camcorder to mpeg2s. Used Ulead DVD Movie factory to add videos, a menu, etc and create DVD folders, burned a Video DVD with those folders (Video_TS) with Nero.

Now I can play the DVD in my PC using Powerdvd and my standalone.
BUT both will only play the first 3 titles of 6. They both freak out If I try to play any of the second three, regardless of which videos I put on the DVD last.

The DVD was only like 3.7 gb, so it had plently of room left.
So why is it doing this?

Also any tips to improve the quality? the AVI files look really good, and the dvd-rs dont look much better than my VCDs.

    Thanks for any help.

  4. for TMPGEnc encoding I use the following guide, it's right on the front page under new guides
    "Configuring TMPGEnc for high-quality, DVD-compliant MPEG-2"
I'm not familiar with Ulead DVD Movie factory so I can not offer any advice there but, in order to save a few coasters try playing the dvd from your hard drive using power dvd and make sure the navigation works before burning to a DVD.

Yeah I learned about playing from harddrive the hard way.
But it still will only play the first 3 titles and i still cant figure it out.
