  1. Hi Gurus,

    I have an AC3 at 48.000, 5.1 ch at 384 kbps.

I'd like to resample it to an AC3 at 44.100, 5.1 ch in order to mux it with a SVCD file.

How can I do it ?

    Thanks

SVCD do not support ac3. But you could make a "XSVCD" that may work on some dvd players, but then I would not convert the audio to 44 khz cause 48 khz is already supported by all dvd players.

  3. So hereby the story,

I have a divx film in ac3. I'd like to decode it in svcd format and preserve the 5.1 channels.

I used Virtualdub to extract the video (avi) and the audio file (ac3).
I converted the video to SVCD (from avi to mpeg with TMPGenc)).
I muxed the mpeg with ac3 with avi2mpg2.

But on my home dvd+home theater system I can only see the video.

I think that the problem is the sample of the audio file.

    Any suggestion ?

    Thanks

  4. First make sure that you are playing the right audio track you should be able to select audio channels using your DVD remote.
If still you hear no audio your player isnt going to play AC3.
If you want SVCD with 5.1 Surround you need to convert the AC3 to Mp2
using hypercube Transcoder in the download section there is also a guide to making SVCD with 5.1 surround in the guides section.
AC3 muxed with SVCD wont work you can try resampling to 48khz with besweet in the download section but you'd be better off using hypercube.
I've never tried to use an AC3 when making SVCD i always convert to mp2 5.1 as it is compatible with SVCD. Dont get mixed up with thinking that SVCD is similar to DVD frame size and audio are not compatible with DVD.
