  1. How do you cut a ISO file in half so the movie can go on 2 disks.

    you'd need to use a tool like ISO Buster or WinISO to extract the files from the ISO, then split them up.

    @Sandie1939

    If I read correctly you are probably trying to take a DVD-9, make an ISO with DVD-Decrypter or something similar and then split that image so that it fits on 2 discs?

    I laughed the last time this guy tried that after going through about 20 DVD-R's

    the problem with splitting an image the way you want to is the fact that a movie disc is different from a data disc.

    the structure of the DVD needs to remain intact for the video player to stream the media.

    if any of the "directions", to where the "video content" is on the DVD, are missing...the movie just won't play

    re-encoding, transcoding, or splitting with ifoedit and the like is the only way to do what you are trying to do

    just to clarify...the re-encoding or transcoding is done with a different app. ifoedit will just split the movie for you...or strip streams. DVD ToolBox also does this task.

    DVD Shrink is free...but if you want better quality I would suggest CCE or some other app.

    just my 2 cents

    and good luck on the search for programs...there are plenty out there!
