ITs really wierd. tried to backup Treasure Planet, and had the same difficult time, that others might have had, when ripping, with DVD Backup 1.3, or OSEX 1a... Cant do it. Seems Title 2, and 7 cant be decoded. So I put the DVD in the old, and slow Pentium 75, and tried ripping with the free program, DVD Shrink...and I was able to get the movie only. Brought it over my network to the mac.
But when I burned with toast, when it plays the first 8 or 9 chapters, it puts a strain on the above mentioned stand alone player, theat causes it to humm, (seems like it is having a hard time locating track, or something)... for it to make this buzzing when tracking. WHen I get to chapter 9, it is as quiet as all other DVD's play.
Anyone ever see this? If I turn up the sound on the 5.1, I certainly wont notice it, but thought I would see If it ever happens..
EDIT:, ok, since posting, I have burned another copy on DVD-RW, and it was fine, no mechanical noise from Apex. So I burned another DVD and it was fine.
Thanks..
