Evening (night) all,

I have a question about the above.

Ok, after I finished my TV show/movie captures (from satellete), and go into tmpgenc... what's the proper setting
for interlate, or is it progressive?? You see, I'm confused!

Anyway, am I capturing interlatece show or movies from my
DirecTV, or are there sometimes, interlace, and other times
progressive, ...I don't know, I'm not sure. Anyway, I
noticed that when I am trying to make an SVCD (MPEG-2) encode,
there's an [ ] Interlace setting. . . .So, I just got even
more confused!

Question:
I noticed that under the [Video] tab, near center, there's a
setting for [ ] Interlace, and under the Advanced tab,
there's a settings, Frame Type: for (Progress) or (Interlace). What's the proper settings of these two fields
under EACH tab?????

I'm using the DC10+ card. My captures are great (now). After
many trial and errors and what-not's.

Thank you for your responses!!!

And, no, I don't encode to MPEG-1, because for some reason
I continue to get those jitters or slow motion problems
when I play the cd in my dvd player. But, if I encode to
MPEG-2, no jitters or slow motion problems! And, no-one
has the answer to the jitters in MPEG-1 encodes...
But, on the bright side, MPEG-2 encodes are much better than
MPEG-1 (IMO).
