can this be done? I can't find where to do this. I am attempting to take avi files from imovie and put on DVD, but I want to have control.

If I choose a length (say 1 hour 50 minutes) will it just use the highest possible?

    thanks,

    Andy

i would assume you could set the bitrate in the file itself then pull it into iDVD. could require extra work though...

iDVD is garbage, you cannot set the bitrate as it is constant

Since iDVD is geared towards home consumers (read "idiots") it saves them from themselves by using two preset bitrates: 5 for 60-90 minutes, and 8.5 for 0-60 minutes (I think). If someone tried to squeeze three hours on a disc and it looked like poopie, they would bitch and moan about Apple's software.
