    Hi All,

I am doing alot of Video_TS conversion of individual title sets to DivX using AutoGk - Is there any way to simply set a default bandwidth to encode at ? and if so, would 900 kbps be good quality ?

I have been setting the bandwidth via the pre-determined sizes - however, I'd like to simply set them all to encode at 900-1000 kbps and auto-resize the A:R accordingly.

    Thanks all

No, and it's done that way purposely. Of course, you can find the bitrate from the size you want. Have you considered making 1-pass target quality encodes? That way you'll get the predetermined quality that you set, although the filesizes will be completely unpredictable.
...would 900 kbps be good quality ?
And that's one of the reasons why bitrate encodes aren't allowed. That question has no meaning at all. There are just too many variables to be able to give any kind of a definitive answer to that question. Among other factors are the compressibility of the source, the chosen resolution, and the desired output quality. If you want to set the bitrate, either use AutoGK's big brother Gordian Knot, or learn to encode manually.

Or work backwards. Use a bitrate calculator like Vcalc, put in the running time, then enter a custom file size. Keep changing the file size until you get the bitrate you want, and set that as the file size in AutoGK.

    Filesize/Running time=Birate
