jerky playback help needed (again!)

I have a avi vid, 23.976 fps. I have just converted to svcd with TMPGEnc, However playback is kinda jerky It doesnt run nice and smooth. (when I converted with TMPGEnc it says it does telecone Process at the bottom, What does this do?)

The pic quality is great I just need the vid to run smoothly cos at the mo it looks like it is slightly speeded up!

Please any help any one!!

Do not post the same thing in more than one topic.

Convert with SVCDFilm Template. Video Only .m2v.

Run the .m2v through pulldown.exe

Encode the audio with tooLAME.

Mux with TMPEGEnc.
