  1. How can I shrink a 780Mb Mpeg1 video file down to a 700Mb video file so I can put it on a CD-R? The 780Mb file is already VCD compatable but to large to fit on a CD-R. I have Ulead VS7, MF2, and some Freware (tmpg, VCDeasy,.....)

    Movie AVIcodec stats:

    File : 780 Mb (768 Mb), duration 1:18:10, type MPG, 1 audio stream(s), quality 77 %

    Video : 642 Mb, 1150 Kbps, 29.970 fps, res. 352*240 (4:3), MPG1 = MPEG 1 (VCD), Supported

    Audio : 125 Mb, 224 Kbps, 44100 Hz, 2 chan., 0x51 = Mpeg-1 audio Layer 2 [0xc0], Supported

  3. Yep, it worked. I used VCDeasy to burn the 780Mb VCD on a 700Mb 80min CD-R. VCDeasy will burn anything!

  4. OK, so VCDeasy didn't work perfectly. It clipped then end off when buring to the disc. I then used NERO and it burned the whole 780Mb.

Can VCDeasy overburn? I couldn't find the setting that was suppossed to be in the tools menu. I have the latest version.

If you're in the UK you can get 99 min disks from here.
I've used these in the past, very successfully although I believe you need to ensure your hardware supports them.
If you don't want to risk it, are in the UK and want to cover my costs I'll let you have one to try.
